Circus Around & About

August 8 @ 04:00 pm - 05:45 pm

We’re delighted to welcome Circus Around & About to The Painswick Centre! Due to a last minute cancellation because of the ongoing pandemic, the performers will now be bringing their double bill show to Painswick on Sunday 8th August, featuring:

  • Ripe, performed by Tilly Lee-Kronick, an outstanding aerialist who performs static trapeze. A Bristol-trained singer, dancer and performer, Tilly has perfomed at circuses as well as the Edinburgh Fringe, and puts on “one of the funniest circus performances you will ever see!”
  • Routine, performed by Said Mouhssine, a Morroccan circus performer, free-runner (Parkour), stunt man and actor/director. This is a comedy acrobatic performance par excellence.

Circus Around & About is bringing high quality, small-scale, family friendly circus to village communities in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Somerset this Summer, and is a partnership between Somerset-based Take Art and London-based Crying Out Loud. Each outdoor event will feature two shows by extraordinary national and international touring companies.

Children under 5 go free.

We want this event to be for everyone in Painswick regardless of affordability. The usual cost for a show like this would be £10-15. We have set the standard ticket price at £10, but if you can comfortably afford more then please buy one or more tickets at £12, as this helps us to offer discounted tickets to others. If the cost of tickets is prohibitive but you want to come, please email Becks at [email protected] (no explanations needed).

Tickets available here.

Please note the following:

  1. This show is aimed for ages 5 and up: we welcome families, teens and adults to join us.
  2. This is an outdoor show in all but the worst weather so please dress accordingly. You are welcome to bring blankets and chairs to make yourself comfortable, but please be considerate of those around you watching.
  3. Soft drinks and street food catering will be available, onsite before and after the perfomance.
  4. The performance will begin at 4pm (please arrive in good time to be seated), and will end at around 5.45pm, with a short break in between acts.
  5. There will not be parking at The Painswick Centre for this event. If you are attending by car, please park in the free car park at the top of Stamages Lane or find on street parking in a suitable place (please be considerate of residents and pavement users).
