Governance
Our governing document as registered with the Charity Commission is a Scheme dated 2002, with amendments made in 2018. 2002 is when the charity changed its name to The Painswick Centre (from the Painswick Institute). You can read the governing document by clicking on the button to the right.
The 2002 scheme above replaced the original Deed of Trust, which was set out in two indentures made in 1906 and 1907 by the Centre's founder Frances Sarah Williams. You can read these by clicking on the buttons to the right.
[The original Deeds of Trust had unfortunately been misplaced several decades ago, but copies were finally tracked down at the National Archives in 2023.]
