The Beacon Hall at The Painswick Centre is a wonderful venue for your wedding reception

The Hall seats up to 120 people at long tables, or 100 at round tables (plus a separate top table). It has a kitchen and a fully licensed bar, as well as a stage with full AV equipment.

Pricing for a wedding will depend on factors such as how long you require the Hall (including setting up & clearing down) and whether you want any additional rooms, how much access you will need beforehand, and whether or not you want a bar. Our team will be happy to discuss this with you when you view the Centre. To ask about availability or arrange a viewing, please contact us by telephoning the Centre Manager on 01452 814567, or email us at info@painswickcentre.com.

Painswick and the surrounding area is home to an incredible number of events suppliers and specialists. Please have a look below where we have detailed some of our local businesses who can help make your wedding day in The Painswick Centre truly unforgettable.

Where to have your ceremony

Painswick has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to places to hold your ceremony, whether you are looking for a religious or a civil wedding.

St Mary’s Church, Painswick lies in the centre of the village and is the largest church in the parish, its fine architecture reflecting the history of wealth from wool production and weaving in the area. Approaching from any direction, your eyes will rest upon the tall, beautiful spire of St. Mary’s Church with its golden weathercock standing some 639 feet above sea level.

Painswick Church is also very famous for its 99 Yew Trees - dating back to the 18th century - which stand in the large churchyard. Some of these grow over the pathways leading from the Church in arches, creating the most stunning opportunities for photos.

The church is a short stroll of a couple of minutes through the picturesque village streets to The Painswick Centre.

The Catholic Chapel of Our Lady and St Therese is the beautiful result of many years commitment by Alice Howard and the conversion in 1931 of what had been four Tudor Cottages. Her vision was for a Catholic Chapel which would be very simple and sincere and in keeping with the Cotswold traditions of stone, wood and wrought iron.

Tucked away in a village street, it is just over the road from The Painswick Centre.

Capturing your day

Anne Marie Randall Photography
California meets classic Cotswolds is how Anne-Marie describes her photography. Having lived and worked in the Bay Area, San Francisco for almost 15 years, she is now settled in the beautiful village of Painswick with her family.  Photographing your wedding day is her honour and pleasure, and she aims to capture the essence and tell the story of your day through images that you will treasure forever.

Dale Stephens Photography
Dale's style as a wedding photographer is very much documentary, although he prefers to use the term 'candid' or 'natural' as this perfectly describes the way he likes to shoot weddings. He is often asked by guests how he knows the couple as they assume he is a friend or relative!

By using a relaxed but professional approach he photographs weddings from the 'inside out' getting a guest's eye view of your wedding day, so you and your guests can feel relaxed. The result will be that you get a real feel for your day when looking back through your wedding photographs.

Painswick duo Chris + Charlotte have been filming weddings at home and abroad for the last nine years and they always bring a cinematic feel to the films they create. We highly recommend that you look at their website to see their beautiful filming style and chat with them about how they would record your wedding day for you and future generations to enjoy.
